People talking on phones are easier prey for street photographers. Firstly they are preoccupied and so are less likely to see you; secondly if they do see you they have to interrupt their telephone conversation to object and so are normally inclined just to let you carry on and finally everywhere you look everyone these days is talking on a mobile phone, so the opportunities are endless.

For those that don't know, another passion of mine is rowing. I have many 100's if not 1000's of images all searching for that perfect stroke where everyone is synchronised, the position is strong and the boat tis running true and smooth. A coach will tell you that those instances are all too rare. Instead of searching for the perfect stroke today I decided to switch to shutter priority, turn the shutter speed down to 1/30th, set to continuous high speed release mode, zoom in and hold the button down and see what I could capture.

Framing and focus is not as perfect as I would have liked but the more shots you take when photographing on the street the more likely you are to capture something interesting here I managed to get 3 individuals close up all unaware of the camera.
